Arrival on St. Croix

These are some photos I took as I made my way to the Hotel on the Cay where I stayed for the first couple of days. I was originally scheduled to be there for only four days, so they gave me a room in a building in the back, which I was not very impressed with. A colleague, who was scheduled to be there for a longer period of time, and arrived a few days later, was given a room in the main part of the hotel. I checked his room out later on and if I had been given a room like that I would have stayed. As it was, after a couple of days I moved to the Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino, which was a very nice hotel on the south shore where most of my other colleagues were staying. And I ended up having to stay for about two weeks instead of the original four days.

To get to the Hotel on the Cay, you go to a specific area of the boardwalk where the boat driver can see you. Then he comes over to pick you up to take you to the cay.
