Colchester Auto Show
These are photos from the 5th Annual Car Show on the Green, in Colchester, CT, on Sunday, August 26, 2001.
The third Wednesday of every month during the summer, there is a "Cruise to the Green" put on by the Good Times Motoring Club; P. O. Box 852, Colchester, 06415. Any questions contact Larry Webster at 860-537-1192 This used to be held at Harry's Stand down the road, but it became so popular they had to move it to the green a couple of years ago. Anyone can bring their cars to the green for a cruise, with no entrance fee. There is a token trophy for the "most interesting" car there. I've even had my 1999 Mustang GT (35th Anniversary) there a couple of times. But I am usually away during the week, so I have missed all of the cruises this year.
However, this was a judged show, with entrance fees for the competitors, and trophies awarded to the winners. (There was no entrance fee for spectators.)

I used to have a 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone, red, 390 CI V8, four speed. So this pair of 1965 Cyclones below brought back a lot of memories.

I have to apologize to all of the Chevelle lovers out there. There was a group of Chevelles there, and a few nice ones in the lot. But somehow, I managed to leave without getting any photos of them.
