Podere San Lorenzo near Volterra, Italy

Tuesday Afternoon, back to the Podere San Lorenzo

We returned to the Podere San Lorenzo for our second cooking class. This time we cooked a chicken dish and some Lemon Risotto.
Then, in between the class and dinner, we walked down the hill so Karen could see the Secret Garden.

Roman road.

This is an ancient Roman cobbled road. Pilgrims heading for Rome would use this road and stop at the Franciscan chapel on their journey for lodging and sustenance.
