Las Vegas, October, 2008

These photos are from a business trip to Las Vegas in October, 2008

Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excaliber, New York New York, Monte Carlo

After passing the Tropicana, I continued south on the strip and crossed the road at the Mandalay Bay Casino.

Heading north now, the next casino is the Luxor. Here is a view of it from the Mandalay.

There is a beam of light that projects directly up from the top of the Luxor casino at night. Here is a view of it from down the street:

Next up is the Excaliber:

And then we come to New York, New York:

If you look closely at this photo, below, you can see the "Brooklyn Bridge" along the bottom of the photo.

Continuing north now on the strip, the next casino is the Monte Carlo, with Diablo's Cantina in front:

Back along Tropicana Avenue you can find the Hooters casino.

And here is another view of the strip at night:

Between the Monte Carlo and the Bellaggio there used to be a casino called Boardwalk, but it looks like they are building something else there now.

So we've made the rounds of a large portion of the strip, but there is still a lot of Las Vegas that we didn't see here.
